Marlisa Young is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in procurement and contracts management, underpinned by a solid educational foundation in Business Administration and Management.
As a champion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Marlisa Young serves as an Affinity Board Representative at Battelle Memorial Institute. In this role, Marlisa Young works closely with senior leadership, Human Resources, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to advance strategies that support and engage employees, foster inclusive leadership, and ensure equitable policies and practices. Marlisa Young's efforts are directed towards empowering a diverse workforce to achieve their full potential, thereby driving the organization’s mission and vision forward.
In addition to DEI efforts, Marlisa Young serves as a Subcontracts Manager at Battelle Memorial Institute, overseeing supplier source selection, purchase order placement, and administration for various programs.
Throughout Marlisa Young's career, significant accomplishments include developing procurement manuals, policies, and procedures, and successfully implementing automated purchasing systems. As a Compliance Officer, Marlisa Young ensured adherence to ISO certification standards and played a pivotal role in obtaining DCMA Certified Purchasing System approval through effective project management.
With a strong foundation in leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, coupled with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, Marlisa Young is poised to bring invaluable expertise to any organization seeking a dynamic and results-driven executive leader in procurement and contracts management, with a proven track record in advancing DEI initiatives and community engagement.

Returned Check Fee
The return of a check (electronic or paper) issued to Human Resources Association of Central Ohio (HRACO) may result in a returned check fee of $30 or 10% of the check amount, whichever is greater.  In those instances where a check is returned for non-sufficient funds, we will contact the individuals who registered for the event to secure the registration or event fee and the returned check fee. The registrant will be prevented from attending any future events in the organization until the payment and resulting fee(s) are resolved. HRACO reserves the right to recover any fees through the guidelines of the Ohio Revised Code, if necessary.
