Learning Objectives:
-Understanding what a workers’ compensation injury is and is not under the new law
-Designing safety programs that include remote employment


Jennifer McDaniel represents employers in workers’ compensation matters. Jennifer has extensive experience handling every aspect of a workers’ compensation claim. She advises clients on how to improve their safety and risk management programs to help avoid workers’ compensation claims. When litigation is unavoidable, Jennifer works closely with clients and their Third Party Administrators to develop the right defense strategy that is best for the client and helps to reduce their workers’ compensation costs. Jennifer has been practicing workers’ compensation defense for over 20 years and believes in developing long lasting, trusting relationships with her clients.
Jennifer is also the Manager and Literary Agent for her sister, International Bestselling Author, Tiffany McDaniel. In this role Jennifer has negotiated several publishing and entertainment agreements on behalf of Tiffany. Marisa Bartlette Willis provides clients with counsel relating to a variety of workers’ compensation and employment laws. Marisa has experience representing clients in workers’ compensation matters in state court as well as before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.

Returned Check Fee
The return of a check (electronic or paper) issued to Human Resources Association of Central Ohio (HRACO) may result in a returned check fee of $30 or 10% of the check amount, whichever is greater.  In those instances where a check is returned for non-sufficient funds, we will contact the individuals who registered for the event to secure the registration or event fee and the returned check fee. The registrant will be prevented from attending any future events in the organization until the payment and resulting fee(s) are resolved. HRACO reserves the right to recover any fees through the guidelines of the Ohio Revised Code, if necessary.
