A number of federal and state statutes require employers to provide employees with leave from work with a guaranteed right to reinstatement. These statutes contain a variety of eligibility standards and circumstances in which employer must offer leave or face substantial risk of liability. This webinar will help you sort out who is considered a covered employee and the circumstances that qualify for leave to avoid liability.

Learning Objectives:

  • Determining who is an eligible employee.
  • Duration of leave and what compensation/benefits must be provided during the leave.
  • Medical certificate, proof of eligibility and administration of leave policy.
  • Importance of incorporating leave into employer policies and employee handbook.

Returned Check Fee
The return of a check (electronic or paper) issued to Human Resources Association of Central Ohio (HRACO) may result in a returned check fee of $30 or 10% of the check amount, whichever is greater.  In those instances where a check is returned for non-sufficient funds, we will contact the individuals who registered for the event to secure the registration or event fee and the returned check fee. The registrant will be prevented from attending any future events in the organization until the payment and resulting fee(s) are resolved. HRACO reserves the right to recover any fees through the guidelines of the Ohio Revised Code, if necessary.
