This webinar will explore how human resources professionals are uniquely positioned to advocate and foster ethical behavior. The webinar will further explain why ethical behavior is critical to overall organizational success through reducing incidents of toxic behavior, improving motivation to comply with laws and regulations, and improving employer branding.

Learning Objectives:
- Participants will understand how promoting ethical behavior benefits retention, risk mitigation, and their employer branding.
- Participants will learn about key ethical behaviors and how those are implemented and advocated in the organization.
- Participants will apply ethical principles to a number of real-life scenarios to see how HR can advocate and foster ethical behavior among senior leadership.


Rebecca Jacobs currently serves as the General Counsel and Director, Columbus Office, for Employers Resource Association. ERA is a not-for-profit providing a wide variety of services to benefit its members, including an HR form and policy library, hotline, articles and updates, and discounts on numerous services. ERA’s services include training, executive coaching, affirmative action plans, compensation data, and employee engagement surveys. Rebecca has extensive experience in completing consulting projects for employers in HR compliance and policy development. In addition to facilitating monthly roundtables and frequent webinars, Rebecca is also directing the programming of ERA’s Institute for Human Resource Mastery, which will provide training and resources for HR professionals to enhance their knowledge and influence. Prior to her work for ERA, Rebecca was an employment law attorney and an adjunct lecturer at the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. Rebecca holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is admitted to practice law in Ohio and licensed (inactive) in California. She became a Senior Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resource Management in 2020. Rebecca was named an "Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star" in Law and Politics magazine in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010.

Returned Check Fee
The return of a check (electronic or paper) issued to Human Resources Association of Central Ohio (HRACO) may result in a returned check fee of $30 or 10% of the check amount, whichever is greater.  In those instances where a check is returned for non-sufficient funds, we will contact the individuals who registered for the event to secure the registration or event fee and the returned check fee. The registrant will be prevented from attending any future events in the organization until the payment and resulting fee(s) are resolved. HRACO reserves the right to recover any fees through the guidelines of the Ohio Revised Code, if necessary.
